Instead of a quote I leave you with an entire song, which also is where I got the title of this entry from. Castle wallsby T.I. ft. Christina Aguilera. Such a great song plus Christina Aguilera sounds great singing on the track. I really like these hip hop ballads type songs.

I've noticed that some of the things that have really made an impact in my life are from unexpected or sometimes miniscule sources. Now I'm not a very religious person at all and for the most part those people who walk around trying to force their idea of religion onto me annoy me and make me not want to listen to what they have to say. However, this one guy, while still annoying because he wouldn't leave me alone, actually has come up to me twice this semester while I was waiting around in Stamp. He came up to me to talk to me about God and everything. I humored him because I was waiting anyway and I would've felt bad about just telling him I don't really care. Anyways, so he started asking me about my current religious practices and whatnot and then proceeded to tell me about why I should follow God. That's not what stuck with me though, what stuck with me is when he said, "It's one of those things where no matter what you do, you can't just close your eyes and make it go away. It will happen whether you want it to or not and it's up to me to be prepared." While he said this in context of being judged before God, I apply it to everything else. Whenever I think to myself I really don't want to take this test or go do something I don't want to do, I then tell myself that there's nothing I can do. I will have to take that test no matter what. All I can do is make sure I'm prepared to the best of my abilities. One, I never would've thought that such a simple statement would change my take on the things I have to do and two, I never would've thought that it would come from a religious source.
